With typical attention to detail, the staff team at our Pencader home set about supporting our service users to have a memorable 2021 Halloween. And boy did they succeed!
Firstly there was the matter of decorating the house. Completed with enthusiasm, the lounge, hallway and dining room were all transformed, including items hand made by the service users. The pumpkins that were carefully chosen from the Pembrokeshire Pumpkin Farm were beautifully carved and with the setting appropriately adorned, the entertainments could begin.
There was a movie night which included Beetlejuice and Cruella. The former soundtrack providing an excellent excuse for a enthusiastic sing-along. They were busy in the kitchen too. All the service users made a contribution and the cawl and scary cakes went down a storm. Finally, the evening was concluded with an entertaining Halloween bingo. We hope Amanda got an extra point for that fantastic hat!
It's fair to say, both the preparations and outcomes were enjoyed by everyone. Well done to you all!
