It would seem that Amanda and Rhodri were blessed with some good timing, as they enjoyed a short break in the glorious summer weather at Barry Island last week.
Accompanied by deputy manager Nina Rees and team leader Ollie Clarke, their holiday was jam packed with fun, games and entertainment - not to mention gallons of sun screen. Trecco Bay, Whitmore Bay and Porthcawl were all visited, with plenty of ice creams devoured along the way. The Barry Island funfair was of particular interest. Mini golf, bumper cars and the Ferris wheel among the highlights. They also enjoyed the outdoor fitness equipment and had fun having their pictures taken by the Gavin and Stacey installations. Judging by the photos, it looks like they had a brilliant time.
With such an action packed daytime schedule, you'd forgive them for being in bed by 8pm, but there was still energy left to enjoy the evening entertainments. There were a nice variety of acts and Amanda loved singing along. So with great food and drink to help them on their way, this holiday can safely be put in the 'really memorable' categories of vacation. Our thanks goes to everyone at Gelynnen who contributed to the planning and execution.
