About you
Inspiration Lifestyle Services encourages it's service users to further develop their social skills and independence, through structured cultural & social experience in our communities and online.
Work experience
Work experience forms an important part of many service users' weekly routines. Always risk assessed and appropriate, we find suitable employers who are sympathetic to adults with learning disabilities.
Here we have been supported by the Ty Glyn Trust Walled garden, Ceredigion and the FAST project in Ferryside.
Person Centered
Person centered hobbies and activities form the basis of everything we do.
Here we have been supported by Xcel bowling, Carmarthen Carriage Riding, Bluestone and Pembrey Country Park.
Literacy & Numeracy
For those that like to improve their literacy and numeracy skills, we design person centred activities that engage and educate. From simple word searches and card games, to interactive puzzles and making comic strips, we make sure all activities are appropriate and fun. We also encourage college participation and life-long learning.
Activities pictured are Rhodri receiving his end of year awards from Coleg Sir Gar, a custom made, classic rock bands Top Trumps and an original football board game.
In the Community
Supporting ordinary patterns of living includes engaging within the community. Our staff are trained to help our service users develop their life skills at every opportunity.
Many thanks to the Botanic Gardens, Xcel bowling centre and the Co-Op for their patience in allowing us to document this aspect of our work.
Seasonal Activities
Seasonal activities play an important role throughout the year. We encourage service users to mark occasions, from decorating their homes to going out to community events.
Christmas, Easter, Halloween and Guy Fawkes night are favourites amongst our staff and service users.
Being creative
Being creative can take many forms. From making music videos and singing songs to arts and crafts, we like to encourage all these forms of expression and communication.
Being sporty
For many of our service users playing football is the highlight of the week. To this end, Aberystwyth All Stars and Swansea Brave-hearts fits the bill perfectly, with all year round training and tournaments.
For other service users, slower paced sports like indoor bowling or hitting some balls on the golf range, are more appropriate.
